The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur and Calvert foundations in Chicago hope to introduce the public to impact investing with a $20 minimum investment in a do-good fixed-income instrument. This Chicago experiment is a welcome development, and, if successful, will show Wall Street how the impact investing world could grow and mature even further.
